Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings - carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

**Position Purpose**:
**Responsibilities and Day to Day Activities (not limited to)**:

- Individual contributor, lead or team member with ownership of a part of the accomplishment within Business Unit/Area, Plant,
- Manage moderate - broad scope projects with multiple variables, unclear solutions, and many stakeholders
- Coach Bands A, B, CC, BB, AA
- Plan, organize and execute work-streams on projects to deliver process improvement and step change capabilities
- Project work scope could include equipment selection (design, development) manufacturing installation, start-up, and acceptance (Pilot, Pre-Pro Runs & EEM)
- Role includes individual contributor and project work-stream leadership responsibilities
- Work with and facilitate alignment between manufacturing, development, and upstream process experts to deliver step change and improvement of cable processes
- Manage internal Corning resources, and potentially external contractors, to complete project deliverables
