**Senior Project Lead Engineer - Tooling**:

The Senior Project Lead Engineer is the technical lead for all engineering activities related to projects in Electrification Smart Buildings business area in Ramos Arizpe, heading up and coordinating engineering teams in projects of medium complexity, disseminating technical knowledge and best practices. In this role, you will drive excellence by ensuring that engineering activities are executed efficiently in line with expectations, specifications, standards, and safety requirements.

**This position reports to**:
Production Development Manager

**Your responsibilities**:

- Develop and identify tooling designs.
- Work with budget issues to evaluate alternatives according to the most efficient for ABB.
- Working closely with customers to shape and deliver solutions and utilizing feedback to drive delivery of improvements.
- Developing and reviewing standard processes, tools and techniques while ensuring that engineering activities comply with safety regulations and contractual requirements.
- Overseeing new subcontracts and assisting supply chain with managing subcontractors.
- Assisting project managers in risk and opportunity assessments and implementing improvement and mitigation actions.
- Preparing project engineering proposals, coordinating documents, and engineering estimates, and performing risk analyses.
- Providing technical details, costs, and deliverables for sales proposals.
- Supporting contract managers in issuing claims related to changes in project scope, including assessing cost and time impacts as well as risk quantifications.

**Your background**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- 5 - 8 years of experience in similar positions.
- Develop and identify tooling designs.
- Strong knowledge of machines and tooling.
- Be proficient in mechanical reading and design.
- Knowledge of project valuation.
- Previous experience as leadership.
- Availability to travel.
- Advanced English Level.
