This role is based out of our new and exciting Mexico City Office. Mexico City is our first office outside of the US and you'll be one of the first employees there helping us build the office from scratch and shape an amazing culture. We're headquartered in New York City, with a large presence in Atlanta, GA, as well as innovation hubs & remote talent across the U.S. BetterCloud is backed, among others, by some of the best technology investors Vista Equity Partners, Warburg Pincus, Bain Capital, and Accel.
As a BetterCloud **People Business Partner, **you will provide advisory and support throughout the full employee journey, and act as a core support to managers and leaders with respect to enabling and empowering employees and teams to be high performing. This role is right for you if you both desire to be one of the first hires within a satellite location, but also the experience of working strategically with leaders across the business to advise and support the company goals all while being an expert across people operations and experience. Lastly, a core part of this role will be collaborating with US counterparts to enact practice/policy adaptation to the CDMX operations and all other people programs for our MX employees. You'll directly support the employees based out of the MX office, but should feel flexible jumping into other parts of the business as needed
**About you**:
- 2-4 years of Human Resources experience; Business Partner experience preferred
- Experience in employee engagement/office management a plus
- SaaS or Tech experience a plus
- Experience creating and building a new office from scratch a plus
- Functional experience in employee relations, compensation, and performance management, along with a strong familiarity with Mexico's employment laws and regulations
- Strong analytical skills, including reporting and synthesizing data to identify themes and solutions
- Successful track record of building and maintaining strong relationships and being a trusted advisor at all levels of the organization, with proven coaching and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to be instinctive enough to jump on critical business issues & opportunities when you see them, scrappy enough to get operational items resolved, and savvy enough to work with all levels in a matrixed environment
- Effectively copes with change, shifts gears comfortably, and takes action in light of ambiguity
- Self-starter with high intellect, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and strong organizational and time-management skills in order to prioritize competing tasks
- Background in managing and operating within the rules and regulations of Mexico's Leave Policies, employment laws and regulations, Unemployment Benefits, Processes, etc.
**What you'll do**:
- Work with all levels of leadership to develop, iterate, and execute people strategies
- Partner closely with BetterCloud's General Counsel and General Manager for Mexico as we set up the new office to ensure the successful start and enablement of our new BetterClouders
- Partner with fellow team members to implement and manage company-wide programs
- Manage new hire onboarding, offboarding and terminations within BetterCloud's Mexico City office
- Consult, coach and advise across all levels of the organization as needed
- Investigate employee complaints, proactively manage legal risk, and ensure compliance with company guidelines and governmental regulations.
- Proactively respond to employee questions regarding but not limited to the following: benefits, employee relations, and company guidelines.
**Goals**:
By the end of Week 1, you will:
- Get a first look into our People Systems, processes, and our approach to Business Partner work
- Get to know your team and the rest of the team building our exciting new MX office
- Cover off on the Employee Onboarding process from start to finish
By Day 30:
- Be familiar with our Business Partner Heatmap and begin to track against it
- Shadow your peers - get a chance to see how a People Business Partner integrates with our BetterCloud culture
- Sit through your 30-Day review with a list of wins, and growth areas to focus on moving forward
- Transition from learning to doing - meet with any of the managers and employees you support, come to team meetings ready to dive in and discuss the business, and jump into your first project
