Esg and Climate Index Products Intern

**Position overview**

The individual will be supporting MSCI’s Index Products group, which is the team responsible for developing the strategies that drive the growth of our index products around the globe. More specifically, this internship position will focus on supporting our ESG & Climate Indexes which is one amongst several index families offered by MSCI. Beyond gaining real project-based work experience, interns will gain a solid understanding of MSCI’s business, the industry that we operate in and our culture.

**Your key responsibilities**
- The Index Products intern will be an important contributor to our strategy management by directly supporting our ESG & Climate Index strategy through timely and high-quality support. The individual will work closely with our Global Head of ESG & Climate Indexes while also interacting with and learning from a diverse and global team across the organization. Additionally, the intern will be paired with a local Index Product employee who will also act as buddy and provide day-to-day guidance and support. With regards to the specific activities and responsibilities, these will vary depending on business needs but may involve one or more of the below:

- Monitoring and effectively communicating the progress of a strategic initiative
- Supporting monthly/quarterly business reviews or other discussion forums
- Helping update marketing materials by reflecting new figures and products
- Analyzing quantitative data to then extract insights and present results in a digestible way
- Scenario and sensitivity analysis modeling to inform our pricing strategy
- Contribute new ideas to enhance our ESG & Climate index strategy
- Collaborating with multiple teams to complete projects
- Industry landscape analysis as it pertains to ESG & Climate indexes development

**Specific knowledge and skills**
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- High attention to detail and good team player
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening and presentation skills and ability to work both independently and across teams.
- Strong analytical, data driven and problem-solving skills, ability to break down complex issues
- Ability to prioritize effectively and work under time constraints
- Intellectual curiosity and a passion for excellence
- Proactive demeanor
- Project-oriented mindset

**Desired experience**
- Currently studying a Bachelor’s degree

**Desired qualifications**
- We require availability of at least 20 hours a week
