The Cost Accountant reports to the US Cost accounting team in Irvine and is responsible for certain cost accounting functions, listed below. This role will also assist in supporting the accounting department with other responsibilities as time permits and during down cycles.

The Cost Accountant is responsible for actively assisting in all aspects of Company’s cost accounting to ensure compliance with all US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and local GAAP as well as local tax, accounting, and financial regulations, required by local country legislation.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)**:

- Analyze and maintain accurate financial reports, inventory records, and perform inventory analysis.
- Assist with month-end/quarter-end close activities and account reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining cost accounting records, reports, and analyses.
- Support quarterly standard cost update by working with Sourcing, Operations and Finance.
- Support SOX, internal, external audits, and tax requests.
- Participate in special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in cost accounting or related field preferably in the semiconductor industry.
- Strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and experience with ERP systems.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
- Professional experience in semiconductor/technology industry
- Experience with SAP software
- Inventory experience, standard costing, E&O reserve
