Job Description Summary

MRO Buyer for indirect purchasing of operations goods and services.

Job Description

RESPONSABILITIES:

- Quote, Contracts, commodity Bids, quote negotiations and first level of MRO and Service order approvals.
- Maintain safe and accident-free work environment, ergonomic workstations and meet 5’S
- Day-to-day procurement activities in Support of the facility operations, settlement of negotiations and purchases that meet defined departmental goals and objectives in line with the approved amount and Company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Serve as a first filter in the revision and approval of all MRO and Service Orders for their correct elaboration and business requirements compliance.
- Quote and negotiate commercial terms and execute purchases for the facility, production operations and services, track and report spend and savings, Open order report (aging PO’s). Items may include plant consumables, health, safety and environmental items, HR, MRO, spare parts, maintenance services, plant constructions, local capital equipment.
- Follow up on material/services deliveries with suppliers.
- Support on the supplier selection and evaluation process along with Quality Assurance department.
- Provide assistance to accounts payable with research for open invoices.
- Develop and maintain professional, productive higher-level relationships with supply base, BD BOC JUAREZ staff and facility personnel.
- Troubleshoot and mediate to resolution facility and supplier issues, concerns, or disputes to ensure a suitable outcome is achieved protecting BD BOC JUAREZ interests and supplier relationships.
- Provide support to other Purchasing team members as necessary.
- Additional projects and activities as required by Purchasing Manager/Supervisor.
- Analyze spend and develop year savings plan.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing, Industrial Engineering or related careers.
- Bilingual Spanish-English minimum B2 Upper-Intermediate
- 2 years minimum experience in similar position
