- Reporting to the Senior Director, Information Technology, Manager,IT role involves _
- Responsible for performing a wide range of tasks varying form individual contributor to project manager for medium to large size projects, in order to provide business analysis and recommend / implement automated solutions in support of financial processes and to ensure that the technical requirements are met in each development and testing environment._

What a typical day looks like:

- _ Plan, prioritize, and manage IT support and maintenance activities to ensure that organization’s information systems function reliably and that IT resources are used effectively._
- _ Research, evaluate, and recommend hardware and software products that will enhance the capabilities of the organization’s information systems._
- _ Liaise with functional or operational area managers to understand their current and future information needs and determine how information systems should be installed, configured, and maintained to best meet these needs._
- _ Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of information systems professionals and support staff to ensure that the organization’s information systems are supported effectively and within budget._
- _ Approve system development cost estimates, budgets, and schedules._
- _ Direct daily department activities in order to maximize system utilization and support business needs as it pertains to a site’s IT infrastructure. Examples include IMAC, VMAC, and responding to Help Desk tickets._
- _ This IT infrastructure includes (but is not limited to) LAN, WAN, telephony, server administration, desktop support, printers and barcode scanners._
- _ Manages the relationship with the service providers of any outsourced infrastructure component. This includes managing the service level agreement, change management, maintaining a thorough understanding of cost issues including participating in negotiation of new cost schedules._

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

- _ Years’ experience managing a Linux team._
- _ BA/BS/MBA or equivalent work experience_
- _ Management of Linux/system administrator team._
- _ Create OS standardizations around speed and reliability_
- _ Implement security, audit and compliance guidelines_
- _ Develop, deploy, and advance global technical standards, policies, processes, and best practices of Linux platform to maximize efficiency and effectiveness._
- _ Manage vendor relationships_
- _ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to interact with management, vendors and external parties and should be able to effectively communicate complex issues in a clear and concise manner. Must be able to thoroughly document implementations, modifications, and removals._
- _ Highly organized, self-motivated, able to multi-task, able to work independently as well as a team player._
- _ Detail oriented, analytical mindset, highly effective at decision making_
- _ Ability to manage numerous business priorities with ease_
- _ Recognize opportunities to improve process efficiencies and implement them._
- _ Understand the training needs of individual personnel and ensure these are met_
- _ Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive._
