**Tax Assistance Manager**
**Location**: Silao, Guanajuato, Mexico
**Industry**: Japanese corporate group with multiple automotive manufacturing companies
**Monthly gross salary**: $60,000 - $70,000 MXN
**Modality**: On-site | Full-time

**Position Objective**
Provide strategic and operational support on tax-related matters at a corporate level, ensuring full compliance with Mexican tax laws, while analyzing and optimizing the tax burden across various business units within the group.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in the preparation, review, and timely filing of monthly and annual tax returns (ISR, VAT, IEPS, etc.)
- Analyze and interpret relevant fiscal reforms and communicate their impact to business units
- Support and coordinate tax audits and reviews from authorities (SAT, IMSS, INFONAVIT)
- Ensure proper deductibility of expenses, tax withholdings, and CFDI compliance
- Monitor and support tax-accounting reconciliation processes
- Participate in transfer pricing analysis and documentation
- Prepare tax reports and summaries for the Japanese headquarters
- Liaise with external tax advisors and tax authorities
- Contribute to tax strategy and risk analysis for new investments or corporate initiatives
- Provide internal tax consulting to accounting, payroll, procurement, and other departments

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
- At least 5 years of experience in tax compliance within manufacturing (automotive industry preferred)
- Up-to-date knowledge of Mexican tax legislation
- Experience in tax consolidation and coordination with external tax firms
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in tax/accounting software (e.g., CONTPAQi, SAP, etc.)
- **Advanced English (for reporting to Japanese headquarters)**:

- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent time management
