**Role Overview**

Research Solutions is looking for a Lead Backend Developer (ASP.NET/SQL Server) to join our growing team. This position reports to the Backend Development Manager.

**Role
We are looking for an experienced ASP.NET / SQL developer to lead a team of back end developers working on our Article Galaxy platform projects. As a Team Lead, aside from your role as a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for delegating tasks to ensure team goals are achieved, motivating and following up with an assigned team of backend developers, and reporting on projects and team performance.

As a Senior Developer you will also be responsible for developing, maintaining and delivering reports (SQL based) to internal customers. Daily tasks will include developing or Maintaining Endpoints (APIs) as well as building efficient SQL Queries.

**Requirements
- Previous Team Lead experience
- Good communication skills in English (speaking and writing)
- Strong background as a backend developer (8+ years experience)
- C#
- ASP.NET
- MSSQL Stored procedures, functions, indexing
- JSON, XML and XSLT
- Proficient Debug skills
- Strong web development fundamentals (HTTP, REST)

**Preferred characteristics
- Familiarity with Javascript and any of its frameworks
- MySQL
