Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Automation Manager located in Guadalajara, South Campus

What a typical day looks like:

- Take leadership during the entire life cycle of automation projects, from concept to feasibility and from fabrication and test to production.
- Define, develop and deploy automation into Flex sites. Design the layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency and safety.
- Prepare RFQ’s and solicit quotations from automation suppliers. Evaluate supplier quotations to determine the best combination of technical solution, cost and timing.
- Develop budget and schedule for projects and manage projects to stay within them. Able to quickly cost analyze and work up the financial justification for automating
- Manage automation suppliers through all phases of projects.
- Provide on-site support during machine build, debug and testing/qualification.
- Supervise installation and testing to verify requirements and specifications are met.
- Draft qualification protocols and support equipment qualification activities.
- Develop manufacturing solutions with the best combination of manual, semi-automation and/or full automation. Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow.
- Implement cost effective automation solution.
- Support new product development automation needs, facilitate assembly processes through the implementation of assembly cells and automated equipment at NPI stage and ensure meeting development timeline.
- Development and implementation of automation plan for the installed customers
- Ownership of data analytics, IOT and 4.0 Industry implementation

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

- Master's or MBA degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Fluent English
- Experience in Automation and Manufacturing engineering, including broad based project management and supervision.
- Experience in automated plants
- Experience in Robots, PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic actuators and sensors.
- Experience working in high-volume production companies
- Experience in the electronics industry desirable
- Strong knowledge in integration of mechanical/electronic or electromechanical systems.
- Knowledge of industry 4.0 tools and technologies
- Dynamic, proactive
- I work under pressure
- Expert functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
- Demonstrates detailed expertise in very complex functional/technical area or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas; understands the strategic impact of the function across sites.
