Software Engineer, Intelligence Systems

**Minimum qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (such as Python, C++, Java).
- 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.

**Preferred qualifications**:

- Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience in content safety or threat intelligence, as applied to software products.
- Experience in Responsible AI or Safety-Adjacent fields, such product policy.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. **Responsibilities**:

- Write product or system development code.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
- Be part of a global team of engineers building threat intelligence solutions to safeguard business-critical products that represent significant business, market share or strategic value to Google, including GenAI-based experiences.
- Bring a mix of high-scale distributed systems engineering skills, sharp product insight, and machine learning experience to design, build, maintain and scale threat intelligence solutions that include rules, vector databases, scalable classifiers, multimodal understanding, large models, flexible UIs, and content processing pipelines.
