Senior 3D/CGI Designer

Founded in 1919 as Phototype, and recently rebranded as the Olberding Brand Family, we are a family company, focused first on caring for people. Our 3D/CGI business is housed within our Amplify business unit. The team focuses on the creation of stunning visual content for eCommerce, social media, web and many other current and future marketing touchpoints. We Amplify brands

The Senior 3D/CGI Designer (aka 3D Generalist or Look-Development Artist) is responsible for creating life-like images and animations for our clients’ brands using their advanced visualization techniques in shape, material, color, lighting, and composition. The Senior 3D/CGI Designer will produce beautiful and engaging content, creating an emotional connection between the brand and consumer.

Portfolio required to demonstrate creative and technical skills

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

- Focused on package/product visualization and the environments they live in
- Create 3D images and scenes using your understanding of shape, form, light, color, materials and finishes
- Practiced in texture/material/surfacing look development
- Excellent eye for lighting and shaping of light (rigging)
- Technically sound with normals/displacement maps/procedurals
- Shows expertise in creating meaningful content that engages audiences

Qualifications Include:

- 6-10 years’ experience in a 3D/CGI, Digital, Animation environment
- Design skills using Photoshop and Illustrator
- Some knowledge of Marvelous Designer preferred
- 4-7 years’ experience in look-development or pre-visualization
- Experience in animation, AR/VR, Interactive technologies not required, but helpful
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or 3D/CGI related degree preferred
