Summary of Position:
The Manufacturing Intern is responsible for translating applicable Manufacturing SOPs and WIs to Spanish. The Manufacturing Intern will support the quality team and manufacturing engineering team with activities on the manufacture floor. This role exposes the Co-op to experimental design and processes, test equipment and documentation processes in compliance with ISO 13485 and the FDA’s Quality System Regulations for medical devices.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Translate applicable Manufacturing SOPs and WIs from English to Spanish
- Provide support for manufacturing engineering and quality teams
- Develop and assemble test fixtures and test equipment as required.
- Document test data, conduct analysis as directed, and write summary reports.
- Conduct failure investigations on product failures and nonconformance materials.
- Provide routine communications and management updates on progress.
- Investigation and interpret specifications for department needs for equipment and components.
- Interface with cross functional teams on a daily basis communicating status and championing issue resolution.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Assist with various manufacturing and quality activities as necessary
- Work closely with Quality Dept personnel in order to ensure regulatory compliance

Position Requirements - Education, Knowledge, Years of Experience, etc.:

- Currently enrolled in an accredited university or college with a focus in Manufacturing or Quality
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Ability to rapidly learn new systems and procedures
- Able to develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
- Able to work under general supervision and guidelines.
- MS Excel, MS Word, and MRP experiences.
- Effective organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
- Ability to work as a team or independently in a changing, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; must be driven and able to accept new challenges and continually strive for improvement in the support of effective therapy delivery to the patient and a delighted user experience.
- The employee is regularly required to work in an office and manufacturing assembly environment.
- The employee frequently is required to sit, walk, or stand.
