Production Planner

**What you will do?**

The Production planner, work s with Manufacturing, Engineering, production, purchasing, Customer Service and Corp Demand Manager. I s responsible for local demand management and developing the production schedule for the manufacture of products that will be stocked or planned, either before shipment or before final assembly in support of Corporate, Division and Plant objectives for customer service and inventory turnover. Assure the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of the information contained in the different systems used by Juarez operation, our customers, and our suppliers.

**How you will do it?**

Operates within the system and policy structure required by Corporate, Division and Juarez Plant policies.
- In conjunction with Plant Supply Chain Manager, coordinates scheduling activities in the areas of sales forecasts, merchandising, engineering, product development, purchasing, production, quality control, sourcing, and customer service.
- May establish or help to establish overall production objectives for a specific period of time.
- Analyze supply chain situations as assigned
- Reporting of metrics, OTD, Past Due, Material Availability & Schedule Adherence.
- Ensure timely material ordering and Escalate shortages and potential shortages.
- Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Product Management on new product introductions or phase out of existing products.
- Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data in order to calculate requirements.
- Checks engineering change notices and makes adjustments to the master schedule, as required by the ECN
- Coordinates with all functions within the facility to exchange pertinent information to meet production requirements.
- Maintains current, accurate information to brief management as required
- Analyzes reports pertaining to sales history, forecasts, manufacturing plans, inventory levels and accuracy.
- Keep Customers or Customer Service Representative informed of any changes to delivery dates.
- Supervises the maintenance of the integrity of the master files of the local ERP system.
- Supervises the diagnostics of data integrity in the different systems used by JCI, periodically for the master files and more frequently for data transactions and inventory balances.
- Supervises data processing activities of all systems.
- Work with Plant Supply Chain Manager to establish and maintain inventory targets.
- Provide reporting as required to manage inventory.
- Develop production plans to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Participate in supplier transfer programs.
- Ensure forecast correct feed into current system
- Determine purchasing priorities and desired order quantities.

**What are we looking for?**

Four-year degree in Business or any Engineering, or three years experience in the area of Material Control.
- APICS certification (highly desired)
- Working knowledge of forecasting methods and techniques.
- ERP experience, SAP is a must.
- Ability to work with peers to accomplish common objectives. Must possess good written and spoken communications skills.
- Working knowledge of JCI systems and ability to use Microsoft Office.
- Working Knowledge of other disciplines, such as manufacturing, engineering, marketing, quality control, and accounting.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret drawings, engineering change notices, schematics and special instructions to determine necessary information for the ordering, purchasing and coordination of the correct item or component.
