As a Data Scientist, you will be accountable for building machine learning models through all phases of development, from design through training, evaluation, validation, and implementation in Production

You will be passionate about big data, working daily on data extraction, load and transformation in big data environments to ensure the successful, on-time, delivery of high-quality data.

We are seeking brilliant and curious individuals with a strong Data Science background.

Role Description
- Build machine learning models through all phases of development, from design through training, evaluation, validation, and implementation in Production
- Lead and partner with other data scientists and data engineers to help inform, build, and test models
- Partner with a cross-functional team of data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver products
- Facilitate data-driven and informed decision making and prioritization
- Have a good understanding of general business trends and context

Must Have
- Proficient coding in Python and/or R (at least 2 years of professional programming)
- Proficient in SQL queries
- Strong understand and work experience in data modelling and machine learning techniques (eg. regression, classification, forecast, attribution techniques).
- Linux basic user level (basic commands, file system, package managers)
- Git for single contributor code bases
- Software design basics (development best practices)
- Machine learning and statistics frameworks or libraries (PyTorch, Sklearn, Tidymodels, Caret, etc.)
- Experience with data wrangling libraries (Pandas, Dplyr, Tidyverse)
- Experience using frameworks or libraries to expose models (Flask, Dash, Shiny)

Bonus (Nice to Have)
- Gitflow or a branching-release git strategy
- Experience developing ETLs
- Experience using cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
- Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
