**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
**Position Summary**:
This position is responsible for keeping the HSE systems operating optimally in each plant. In addition, this position Will assist facilities with energy management and facility activities as needed.
- **Essential Functions**:

- Perform timely and accurate documentation of all waste tracking, chemical inventory and other required logbooks related to HSE processes (waste water, coolant, chemical management, etc.)
- Assist with preparing quarterly water discharge reports for SIMAS
- Keep clean and orderly the hazardous waste areas, chemical storage, waste water treatment area, evaporator area, metal recycling areas, recycling areas, and all other HSE related work areas
- Label and store all waste and chemical receptacles/containers
- Collect and deposit the contaminated water from areas of production
- Assist with maintenance, including securing the necessary materials and operate the coolant recycling, waste water treatment, eliminators, filter press, ultrafiltration system, oil and grease recycling, aluminum recycling and any other HSE related equipment as directed
- Process waste metals and other materials for recycling
- Assist with emergency equipment inspections as needed
- Perform all other HSE duties as assigned
- Collaborate with other departments as required
- Facilitate chemical transfer(s) between plants as needed
- Assist with the refrigerant recycling process
- Monitor coolant usage in machining area
- Actively participate as a member of the emergency brigade
- Diagnosis and solution of predictive maintenance problems (transformer oil tests, infrared thermography and air leak detection)
- Implement established preventive maintenance programs
- Implement energy saving programs and carry out related activities
- Detect equipment failures in time
- Supports department-related activities and programs
- Implement established preventive maintenance programs
- Support in the implementation of EWO's, and Quick Kaisen ideas
- Work safely using all personal protective equipment related to the type of maintenance work being performed
- Management of electric power generator
- Support PSA activities and procedures with team members
- Carry out any other activity that by its nature corresponds to the facilities department.

**Management and Supervisory Responsibilities**:

- This position Will supervise 2nd shift Recycling Technicians and related contracted services.

- Knowledge of adjusting recyclers and temperature controllers

**Experience**:

- 3 years of experience as a facility mechanic or related field

Ability to monitor Building Managment System

**Education/Certifications**:

- Minimum upper secondary education
- Forklift Certification
