**What do you bring to the team?**

Güdel Mexico is looking for a mid-level Software Developer Engineer (PLC specialized) to joining to the brand-new Software Hub located in Monterrey N.L.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- You are responsible for creating the PLC program for complex automation systems controlled by PLC controllers.
- The sequence of operations in the machine must be programmed efficiently so that the processing times of the transported materials are as short as possible.
- Continuous development of this software is required, so it should be as modular as possible.
- Compliance with standards is important, especially in the area of machinery.
- You are responsible for delivering work correctly and on time for the client, as well as meeting or exceeding project budgets.
- Specification, design, development, testing and maintenance of high-performance control functions for all automation systems at Güdel.
- Definition and implementation of the interface to the user interface (HMI) as well as to the actuators and sensors in the system.
- Definition and implementation of interfaces to other third party systems.
- Close cooperation in the security area to guarantee the functional security of the system.
- Determine and define the technologies to be used in the PLC area.
- Guarantees adequate customer service in case of queries (3rd level support).
- Supports the product owner with technical queries from interested parties.
- Supports the organization in setting up teams.
- Create technical documentation for sales support and training documentation.
- Establish and maintain the CI/CD (Continuous Integration & Delivery/Deployment) information source.
- Compliance with workflows and processes within the software department and the engineering organization
- Compliance with international standards, especially machinery safety standards.

**Qualifications desired**:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a University (computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering) desired.
- 3 years working in the automation field in an Engineering or Project Management related role or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.
- Experience in the area of motion control technology (eg Beckhoff, Bosch-Rexroth, Siemens)
- 3 years of professional experience in the development of high-level language software in the automation environment
- Experience in the development of user interfaces and backend logic in the field of industrial machines
- Experience working in an agile development team according to SCRUM/KANBAN methods.
- Experience in user experience process
- Experience dealing with clients and interdisciplinary collaboration
- High affinity for industrial automation
- Possibility of traveling to client sites, nationally and internationally
- Availability to travel (20% as a guide).
- Advanced English

**Skills Required**:

- Proficient in PLC programming in the Beckhoff environment (TwinCat2/3)
- Proficient in SW modeling languages (eg UML, Gherkin) and relevant architecture tools (eg Enterprise Architect) as well as experience using modern development (eg VS, VS Code), Test (eg xUnit, MSTest, Jasmine, TestComplete), and DevOps Tools (eg TeamCity).
- Communicative personality with assertiveness
- Strong task-oriented and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and precision
- Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, strong management skills.
