Overview:
Under general supervision, the SQ Technician selects appropriate equipment to measure and verify initial sample review (ISR) parts measurements and logs information in spreadsheets for review with Supplier Quality Engineers and/or Mechanical Engineers. Updates spreadsheets with relevant information. Communicates ISR information to the appropriate staff in a timely manner. The position is also responsible for mechanical calibration of gauges.

**Responsibilities**:

- Works with Supplier Quality Engineers to determine proper measurement tools for initial sample review (ISR) parts.
- Measures ISR parts and logs information for review of results with Supplier Quality Engineer and/or Mechanical Engineers.
- Communicates ISR information to the appropriate staff.
- Stores ISRs and samples for future use.
- Performs or orders calibration of mechanical gauges used by SQE.
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience working on assignments involving mechanical measurement systems that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
- Has substantial understanding of the job, and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
- English 75%
- Ability to work independently, receiving little instruction on daily work, but receiving general instructions on newly introduced assignments.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- GD&T experience preferred.
- Experience with statistics (Minitab experience preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
