Responsibilities & what we are looking for
**Position Overview**:
Strategic and hands-on Finance Director, Americas to lead the financial operations across the U.S. and Mexico.
Driving financial performance, ensuring operational excellence, and supporting strategic decision-making across the region.
The Finance Director will report directly to the Group CFO and serve as a key member of the Americas Leadership Team with a dotted line to CEO Americas. In addition to standard Finance Director responsibilities, this role will act as a day-to-day strategic sparring partner to the CEO Americas, helping shape and challenge the regional agenda.
**Location**: Mexico City, Mexico (Hybrid)
**Key Responsibilities**:
Financial Leadership
- Lead financial management for the Americas region, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance.
- Drive business performance through robust financial analysis, cost optimization, and working capital management.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Oversee regional tax strategy, treasury, and risk management in coordination with Group functions and Group Shared Service Center.

Strategic Partnering
- Serve as a trusted advisor and daily sparring partner to the CEO Americas.
- Execute regional strategy aligned with the Group’s vision and financial goals.
- Collaborate closely with commercial and operations leaders to drive cross-functional alignment and decision-making.

Leadership & Team Development
- Lead the local finance team across the U.S. and Mexico.
- Promote integration and consistency of financial practices and systems across the region in line with Group accounting principles.
- Represent the Americas region in Group-level finance forums.
- Ensure good cooperation with the Shared Service Center performing the accounting (GL, AR, AP, Cash Management and Master Data) for Americas.

Governance & Compliance
- Ensure strong financial controls, compliance with local laws and Group standards, and ethical conduct throughout financial operations.
- Key point of contact for auditors, banks, and tax authorities within the region.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Bachelor or master’s degree in finance, accounting, or similar.
- Minimum of 10 years’ progressive financial leadership experience from CFO/Finance Director or similar roles within a multinational group preferable within the transport/logistic industry.
- Proven track record across preferable with experience both from U.S. and Mexico, with deep understanding of regulatory, tax, and financial landscapes in both markets.
- Experience working closely with CEOs or general managers in a strategic business partnering capacity.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
