We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer in concrete construction who is a highly experiencedprofessional responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of complex concrete constructionprojects. The role involves leading engineering teams, ensuring adherence to designspecifications, managing project schedules and budgets, resolving technical challenges, andcoordinating with contractors and Integrated Concrete personnel throughout the constructionprocess.
**Key Responsibilities**
**1. Project Management**:
Planning and Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive project plans,including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks and issues thatmay impact project timelines and deliverables.
Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practicesthroughout the project lifecycle.
Progress Tracking: Monitor project progress, identify bottlenecks, and takecorrective action as needed.
Communication: Effectively communicate with project team members,stakeholders, and clients to keep them informed and engaged.
Reporting: Prepare regular project reports, including progress updates, financialreports, and key performance indicators.
**2. Technical Support**:
Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to team members asrequired.
Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot technical issues and propose innovative solutions.
Tool Utilization: Leverage project management software to streamline workflowsand improve efficiency.
**3. Administrative Tasks**:
Document Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date projectdocumentation, including plans, specifications, and submittals.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmentalregulations.
Procurement: Coordinate procurement activities, including material orders andequipment rentals.
**Specific Responsibilities**:
1. Review project plans, scope, and contracts.
2. Manage project documentation and submittals in Procore.
3. Generate submittal lists and requests for approval.
4. Place and cancel concrete orders as needed.
5. Schedule concrete pumps.
6. Create Change Orders as requested.
7. Follow up on concrete orders.
8. Follow up on submittal approvals.
9. Update project plans in Procore.
10. Update project schedules in PlanSwift.
11. Review concrete invoices with the team.
12. Coordinate with the field crew on layout and elevation.
13. Schedule concrete pours two weeks in advance.
14. Review project plans and special details with the estimator.
15. Coordinate with the team on the weekly schedule to ensure timely ordering of materials.
16. Request CAD files for projects requiring curb machines.
17. Request control points for projects requiring curb machines.
18. Follow up on submittal approvals.
19. Follow up on Change Order approvals.
20. Guide project tasks to completion through review and discussion of open items.
21. Assist the Project Engineer with problem-solving and issue escalation.
22. Ensure tasks are updated in Procore with the current status and next steps.
**Tools and Software**:
- Proven experience with Procore, Autocad or BuildTools
**This position is to be hired as an independent contractor in Hermosillo, Sonora.**
