Are you a bilingual (English/Spanish) early childhood professional who dreams of blending mindful education, global travel, and meaningful impact, all under one roof?
This isn’t a typical nanny role - it’s a long-term, full-time position for someone who’s as passionate about child development as they are about personal growth. This is a deeply personal, purpose-driven role supporting a high-performing, globally minded family raising twin toddlers. You’ll be a trusted partner in shaping formative years through Waldorf
- or Montessori-aligned approaches, creating enriching experiences both at home and abroad.
This role is ideal for a career nanny, former educator, or early childhood expert who thrives on structure, warmth, creativity, and consistency - and who feels energized by travel and intentional living.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Individualized Twin Care**: Provide attentive, personalized care tailored to each child’s developmental stage and personality. Facilitate sibling bonding and manage shared routines fairly and effectively.
- **Educational Experience Design**: Plan and implement engaging Waldorf or Montessori-inspired activities, emphasizing sensory exploration, creativity, and autonomy. Integrate learning focuses such as early literacy, emotional regulation, language development, motor skills, music, reading, and self-actualization (e.g., mindfulness, breathing, and cooking) that foster holistic development and personal growth. Adapt educational materials efficiently during travel, utilizing accessible resources.
- **Rhythm & Routine Management**: Sustain consistent daily rhythms for meals, naps, potty training, and bedtime, skillfully managing adjustments across various time zones. Prepare nutritious, child-appropriate meals and snacks with a focus on organic, clean, whole foods, adapted to each travel location.
- **Travel Logistics & Environment Setup**: Organize travel-friendly educational kits and establish calm, safe learning environments in temporary accommodations. Manage packing, laundry, and basic childcare-related household tasks during trips.
- **Emotional & Developmental Support**: Provide empathetic guidance through developmental transitions such as teething, routine adjustments, and separation anxiety. Integrate behavioral focuses such as gentle parenting, positive discipline, and a balance between structure and independence — encouraging resilience, gratitude, self-directed exploration, gentleness, kindness, and patience. Monitor, document, and communicate developmental milestones and insights with parents.
**Qualifications**:
- Based in **Mexico**, with willingness to relocate full-time to McAllen, Texas (family will support the visa process).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in early childhood care, preferably with toddlers; experience with twins or multiples is advantageous.
- Minimum 1 year teaching experience.
**-Formal training, degree, or certification in Waldorf or Montessori educational philosophies.**:
- Demonstrated capability in international travel with children and adaptability to varied schedules and environments.
- Valid passport with unrestricted international travel capability or willingness to obtain immediately.
- Proficient understanding of toddler behavior, emotional needs, and respectful caregiving methods.
- CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it immediately.
- Exceptional communication skills; fluency in English and Spanish is required, additional languages beneficial.
- Non-smoker who prioritizes family privacy, health, and safety, with deep alignment to a God-centered, mindful, and wellness-focused household. Brings a calm, harmonious presence; upbeat and positive while being mindful and respectful of family peace and quiet time. Avoids excessive phone or social media use, maintaining focus and intentional energy around the children.
**Why You Should Work Here**:
- **Live-In Simplicity**: Comfortable, private accommodations provided in a serene, faith-forward home in McAllen, TX.
- **Visa Support**: Family will assist with the appropriate visa to legally work and live in the U.S. as a nanny/tutor.
