- _In this role, you will be responsible for recommending, implementing, and supporting SQL Server DB technologies in a fast-paced environment, requiring good communication skills and the ability to work independently on multiple projects._

- Responsibilities_
- _Diagnose and Resolve problems around database performance, capacity, replication, T-SQL, etc._
- _Proactively monitor databases for errors and respond quickly and effectively to troubleshoot and resolve DB on-going issues on all CAI environments DEV/QA/PROD._
- _Maintain/Monitor systems On-Prem or in AWS/Azure._
- _Coordinate and schedule DB downtimes to perform DB maintenance procedures. i.e. DB patching, upgrades, etc._
- _Define Backup and Recovery strategies using technologies used at CAI: Netapp Snapshots, SnapCenter/SnapManager for SQL, Idera SQLSafe or Native SQL Server Backup/recovery Tools._
- _Perform advanced database administration activities including but not limited to: DB Performance Tuning, T-SQL tuning, Backup and recovery and DB disaster recovery solutions._
- _Create/update CAI’s database documentation about standard procedures, DB technology features, or production issue troubleshooting._
- _Stay current with changes in the technical area of expertise._
- _Support highly available production systems using the following technologies: Database Mirroring, Log Shipping, Windows/SQL clustering, Availability Groups._
- _Work with development teams to deploy code in production when needed._
- _Participate in on-call rotations._

- Minimum Qualifications / Skills:_
- _Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience_
- _Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills._
- _Strong communication and collaboration abilities._
- Preferred Qualifications/ Skills_
- _Ability to work independently and as part of a team._
- _Ability to work with mínimal direction, yet also able to work in a team environment._
- _Working knowledge of LINUX and shell scripting._
- _Experience configuring database network connectivity._
- _Understanding of database backup and recovery techniques using RMAN and Network Appliance filers._
- _Experience with high volume websites that use multi-tier architectures is a significant plus._
- _Understanding or experience using Oracle Real Application Cluster’s and implementation best-practices_
- _experience in Oracle database technologies_
- _Prior experience writing PL/SQL triggers and/or procedures._
- _Experience with Database SQL and Database tuning._
- _Experience with Oracle GoldenGate._
- _Experience developing ansible playbooks is a plus._
- _Experience supporting Database infrastructure in the cloud (OCI, AWS, Azure)._
- _Ability to analyze existing systems and make recommendations on which technology best suits the business requirement for high availability, Disaster Recovery or high performance._
- _Experience setting up and Managing OEM 13c._
