ABOUT THE ROLE
- This position will manage MexCAM quality engineering tasks concerning production of finished goods at 3PMs and suppliers to ensure quality is driven into the products and manufacturing processes at every stage of product development and realization, with support and supervision of Quality Engineering Manager. Scope of the role includes supporting local, regional and global projects to introduce new products or changes of existing ones, suppliers auditing and improvement practices and supporting quality escalations for prompt and effective resolution. This position requires a high level of daily interaction with internal manufacturing functions, suppliers, Supply Planning, Procurement, RD&E and Regional Quality SCJ functions. The role is supported by the Global Quality team._

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- _ Implement quality engineering/auditing methods._
- _ Manage the activities, practices, and procedures to ensure successful product launches._
- _ Make timely decisions concerning nonconforming materials, products and processes to ensure that the company meets its safety, quality and business objectives._
- _ Develop, implement, manage, and participate in the Quality Engineering programs aimed at preventing safety and quality problems from occurring. _
- _ Assure practice of state-of-the-art quality engineering/auditing techniques to assure the design, development and launch of new or revised products._
- _ Develop and recommend to the Regional Americas Quality Engineering Manager the cluster´s QE annual objectives, expense, capital budgets, and changes in the composition of the group to meet strategic plan objectives._
- _ Contribute to the new product commercialization process._
- _ Provide quality system and compliance assessments of current and potential SCJ suppliers and contract manufacturers._

- _ quality system and compliance assessments._
- _ Microbial assessments_
- _ Escalated issues/Product investigations/recalls_
- _ Responsible for practicing SCJ Safety, Health & Environment guidelines in daily work and considering Safety, Health & Environment aspects and impacts when developing plans, methods or procedures_

- _ The incumbent’s efforts cause him/her to relate with a variety of departments within the company. His/her major contacts include Procurement, RD&E, Legal, Product Supply, Logistics, Marketing and others. Outside the company he/she communicates with managers and technical representatives of suppliers/3PM´s to communicate SCJ´s requirements, resolve problems and obtain information on materials and processes used in the manufacture of products, or on items and equipment used in the Quality Assurance laboratories._

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Education: University graduated Engineer (Chemical, Food, Industrial, Mechanic or similar) at university / with 2-3 years experience in Quality engineering or technical areas.

Fluent in English

This position requires an incumbent with thorough and updated knowledge of applicable quality engineering techniques, which include:
