As **Project Engineer **you will ensure the correct performance of the material and human resources within the Maintenance area, avoiding production stoppages and scrap generation due to equipment failures. Implement specific plans to attend preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance... always looking for the continuous improvement of time reduction; as well as to verify the fulfillment of maintenance to buildings and facilities.

**Key responsibilities (to name a few)**:

- Participate in the development of new projects and supervise that the required product meets all customer and quality specifications requirements.
- Properly and efficiently manage the spare parts warehouse (MRO), maintaining key and fundamental parts for the machinery and equipment to operate efficiently... anticipating the immediate replacement of any part or several parts.
- Justify and manage capital projects to replace equipment, acquire new equipment and technology, expansion or improvement of buildings and services; that allow to conserve the assets of the company, ensuring the operation of the plant and optimizing production processes.
- Ability to build credibility and trust within the organization.
- Bring focus, purpose, and agility to motivate others to adapt quickly to changing business needs.
- Orchestrate and prioritize multiple activities at once to accomplish Company goals.
- Take the initiative to look for and take advantage of opportunities and take independent actions and calculate risks.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- At least 3 years of specific problem solving experience and progressive responsibility in leading improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment. Experience with Rubber products desirable.
- Strong computer, math, and statistics skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Basic knowledge of automotive quality systems (APQP, PPAP, Gage R&R, Process Capability, Manufacturing Feasibility Studies) of six sigma and project management
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing concepts
- Project management skills, PMP certification is a plus
- Must be proficient in 2D layout design using CAD.
- Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel & PowerPoint user.
- Data Driven Process Problem solving experience, ability to develop and maintain critical performance metrics for assigned value streams.
- Sufficient technical awareness to interface with manufacturing, maintenance, engineering (Design, Product and Materials Development) and management personnel.
