**Legal Assistant**

**Requirements**:

- **
Legal experience is necessary, but don't have to be lawyers.**

Must be a self-starter with a strong ability to multitask. Our office environment is upbeat and runs at a fast-paced tempo.
- Able to read credit reports evaluate cases and judgments
- Review and understand the legal language in contracts
- Familiar with the court system and check cases with the court website and pacer to find updates with cases
- Computer Savvy
- Upper intermediate English

**Qualifications**:

- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and typing)
- Haveto be really good with detail.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

**Main Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Assisting department managers with whatever task is asked of him/her
- Help develop cases by evaluating and preparing proper documentation for our legal director
- Maintaining contact with people involved in the cases
- Managing deadlines, preparing responses to oppose counsel
- Keep clients updated by communicating case progress
- Assigning accounts to attorneys and staying in communication to stay up to date with case statuses
- Preparing outgoing mails
- Handle incoming calls from debtors, clients and/or attorneys
- Manage other 3 or 4 other employers on their daily tasks
- Manage some billing, client services, data entry and general admin work

- Net salary range from $ 12,000 to 18,000 MXN. With many opportunities to increase.
