Goal of this Position
Leading the wire harness-cable technical teams with the following roles and
responsibilities:
support cable assembly operations by establishing production lines; with equipment, fixtures, tooling and safety standards to support the capacity and workloads.
- Work within the parameters of the QM System to help Variosystems achieve general and company-specific quality efforts and growth goals specifically in wire harness cable assembly business center.
- Supporting team that can develop customer products by guiding feasibility studies, transfer and setup of equipment, and leveraging local and company experts. Tasks and Responsibilities
- Expert in cable assembly operations in WHMA/IPC620 standards.
- Participate on the purchase/transfer of equipment along Vario global experts
- Test development tools and equipment (wire harness)
- Ability to read and follow wire harness assembly instructions.
- Establish tools and fixtures for assembly using wire layout boards.
- Support customers in electrical harnesses for automotive, power distribution, communication, instrumentation and electrical integrated systems.
- Active Role in NPI, final manufacturing release, selection of machines, tooling and fixtures to support cost effective Routing and work instructions for the of electrical harnesses business unit.
- Design and integration of support tools, fixtures and testing devices in wireharness production.
- Creating electrical and electro-mechanical component manufacturing methods and instructions.
- Selecting cable assembly components such as connectors, backshells, cable/wire, shielding, jacket materials as required to support customer design and local sourcing materials.
- Providing technical guidance to production facilities and launch sites
- Coordinating with Product engineers, manufacturing personnel Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- 5 years of wire harness assembly experience
- Automotive or industrial familiarity with industry practices.
- Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical engineer degree
- Knowledge of IPC-A-620
- Personnel Management
- lead and developing people
- Advanced Skills in stripping, cutting, crimping, and quality test equipment for cable assembly
- Ability to read wire list and discern multiple color wires, contacts and components.
- KEY
- Communicate effectively in Spanish both verbal and written fluent in English Level 3 preferred
- Willing to travel
- Valid Mexican passport
