Head of Core Banking Americas This role will support Head of Core Banking Americas and WPB CIO Mexico in implementing the WPB strategy across Mexico. The role will be responsible for - providing strategic outlook aligning to Vision ’27 and Modern Core Program - developing technology strategy and roadmap for Mexico Core Banking platforms, primarily HOGAN but not limited to it, taking into account of the key technology wide priorities such as transitioning to cloud based technology solutions and the removal of legacy systems - sponsoring and driving the continued adoption and maturation of DevOps and agile principles; and ensuring platforms are well maintained, stable and secure. - day to day operational support the execution of change the bank and run the bank activities for CB Mexico portfolio - establishing governance and contribute in risk management, service management, cost management, transformation journey and resourcing for LAM countries as well as building the regional Core Banking matrix in LAM Furthermore, this role will oversee and manage the Technology Platforms and FTE that provide the business functionality to support customer and product capabilities within Mexico. The role will face off to Mexico business (both wholesale and WPB) and be accountable for driving prioritization of portfolio, any critical service and risk reviews. This role would also be at the front foot on management escalation calls for service outage responses and also assist streamline WPB Mexico portfolio and service management. Given the Wholesale Business presence in Mexico, one of the critical aspects would be balancing WSIT and Core Banking strategy. Role Context - Functional reporting to CIO Core Banking Americas - Entity reporting to WPB Mexico CIO - Member of the Core Banking MANCO Requirements Observation of Internal Controls - Maintains HSBC internal control standards and addresses audit points and/or any issues raised by regulators in a timely manner. Fosters a compliance culture within the team, managing compliance risk and ensuring that the necessary training is completed. Optimizes relations with regulators.
