We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing mechanical elements for the large off-high machinery and mining equipment. You will frequently collaborate with other engineers located in the USA and be a team leader and mentor in the Monterrey office. If this individual possesses the right skillset, there is potential for this individual to become a team leader for our office in Monterrey. **Responsibilities** - Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, components, weldments, sheet metal, castings, hydraulic and hose routings using Creo. - Create designs per customer instructions for off-highway vehicles, diesel engines, and equipment. - Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems. - Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery using computer-assisted equipment. - Position instructions and comments onto drawings. - Design scale or full-size blueprints of specialty items such as furniture and automobile body or chassis components. - Check dimensions of materials to be used and assign numbers to the materials. - Lay out and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machines. - Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems. - Attend meetings with internal teams and customers. - Assist with interviewing and training new engineers as needs arise. **Education/Experience** - Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) and 3+ years of related experience - 2-year degree in Mechanical Drafting or similar and 5+ years of related work experience **Skills Required**: - Prior Mechanical design experience - Experience with Creo. - Good knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). - Experience modeling and designing sheet metal, weldments/fabrications, and bolted assemblies. - Experience designing for any of the following: mining, construction, or agricultural equipment and diesel engines. - Ability to work independently and manage your own tasks. - Must be motivated and show initiative. - Not afraid to say if they don’t understand something or need help. - Fluent in English. - Ability to write in English. **Skills Desired** - Experience working with castings - Experience routing hoses and harnesses - Project management experience **Travel Requirements** **Location** - Monterrey, NL **Pay Range** Application Question(s): - Do you have experience modeling and designing sheet metal, weldments/fabrications, and bolted assemblies? - Do you have experience designing for any of the following: mining, construction, or agricultural equipment and diesel engines > - Can you write in English? **Education**: - Associate (required) **Experience**: - Creo: 1 year (required) - mechanical design: 1 year (required) - work: 3 years (required) - Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T): 1 year (required) **Language**: - English (required)
