_**This position is based in Mérida, Yucatán, México. If you do not live in/around Merida, and are still interested in this position, relocation will be required within 60 days of accepting this position. Verato will provide a relocation bonus of $42,500 MNX pesos to help with your move.**_

**Daily Responsibilities**
- Collaborate in the design and development of Verato’s Software as a Service offering
- Collaborate with US / Merida based teams on AI/ML software development and delivery
- Design, build, test, run, and maintain Machine Learning pipelines including model training workflow, model deployment and model serving
- Work effectively within an Agile framework to deliver new capabilities
- Own the end-to-end implementation of AI/ML infrastructure and MLOps framework for ML model telemetry and ML experiments tracking
- Integrate Python based recommendation engine with backend APIs and databases
- Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle: Design of new components, new feature development, Test Automation, Performance and Scalability tuning, Issue Troubleshooting, SW Maintenance, Usage and improvement of the CI/CD Infrastructure, Integration of new services with the DevOps infrastructure, etc.
- Advice and consult with the broader engineering, product, and customer experience organizations on AI/ML related issues and optimizations

**Requirements**:
**To fulfill the responsibilities of this position, the following is required**:

- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
- Able to collaborate with diverse onsite / remote teammates on software development and delivery utilizing agile methodologies
- Strong understanding of different AI/ML frameworks and libraries including XGBoost, scikit-learn, pandas, numpy, keras, huggingface, etc.
- Experience with MLOps frameworks such as MLFlow, Kubeflow, etc.
- Have worked on end-to-end ML pipeline including model storage, model training, model versioning, model serving, model containerization and deployment
- Proficiency in database technologies, SQL queries and orchestration tools like airflow
- Experience managing cloud infrastructure in AWS or GCP with templating software like CloudFormation or Terraform
- Able to understand and work using CI/CD Technologies such as Jenkins, Git, SonarQube
- Strong technical and analytical skills with ability to analyze system functionality and resolve production issues
- Able to work under pressure, some tight deadlines and with ambiguity on some projects
- Experience with systems and software architecture
- Strong communication and presentation skills
