Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a self-directed software engineer with previous experience in software development, to join our team in Guadalajara, Mexico. The Software Engineer designs, builds, and supports custom software solutions for some of the world’s largest retailers.

**What you will be doing**:
Your typical day as a Toshiba **Software Engineer**will involve:

- Developing new custom function and assisting with defect support
- Extending the automation / continuous integration platform, including tests
- Working closely with the QA team to ensure a quality deliverable
- Creating product user’s documentation
- Providing configuration, installation, and ongoing maintenance support
- Providing technical guidance during requirements workshops with our clients
- Collaboration with team in Taiwan.

**Naturally To be successful in this role, you must have and know of**
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Exceptional English written and verbal communication.
- 6+ years of software development experience.
- 6+ years of Java-based development.
- Knowledge of IA.
- Java programming.
- C++.
- JNI.
- Android.
- Device Drivers development - Backend programming.
- Experience with XML.
- Computer science fundamentals including object-oriented concepts, data structures and related algorithms.
- Familiarity with the software engineering lifecycle and methodologies.
- Linux-based operating systems.
- Experience working with HW. (desired)
