Achieve given team performance goals for Warehouse operations. The goals will include inventory management, receiving, put away, picking, material supply and inventory accuracy related metrics. This position is responsible for oversight of personnel, administration of the warehouse operations, 5’s, safety, inventory accuracy, operation and internal material replenishment processes. Roles & Responsibilities: - Hire, train and strategically develop warehouse personnel - Make sure current processes are properly documented - Make sure active procedures are properly followed - Make sure all personnel is properly trained on up-to-date procedures - Continuously perform gap analysis on documents related to warehouse operations such as SOP, DOP, WI, VA, and update as required - Manage all areas indicators, monitor, analyze and implement required actions to continuously improve indicators by using lean methodologies - Effectible communicate area’s performance and individual contribution - Analyze and correct issues related to warehouse inventory variances and processes - Manage workload in all areas based on HC availability and priorities - Make sure all materials’ requirements are fulfilled on a timely manner and accurately - Coordinate and resolve daily priorities such as material’s stock outs, discrepancies, transfers, down time, among others - Track and keep warehouses’ 5’s above target - Comply material’s FIFO policy - Drive continuous improvement of current systems and processes - Lead and promote Lean Projects - Responsible for managing employee training record completion and status - Evaluate and provide frequent performance feedback to direct reports to ensure performance criteria are being met.
Experiência y requisitos
Skills, Experience, Education, & Training: - Minimum of 3 year experience in managing warehouse activities and material flow in high and low volume, manufacturing environments. - BS degree in engineering or related field - Competitive English level, written and spoken - Six/lean sigma training or certification desirable - Significant computer experience including MS Office products and ERP systems, preferably SAP and Agile. - Proven track record of being an effective Supervisor in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing company - Demonstrated knowledge of Kanban systems and other Lean material flow practices preferred. - Demonstrates concern for precision and thoroughness. - Proven ability to lead a team to consistently achieve stretch goals and objectives. - Ability to provide positive direction by encouraging peers to have a commitment to high standards of quality and performance. - Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects successfully. - Verbal and written communication skills - Effectively manages task breakdown, helps keep individual contributors on task, player-coach and ability to step in and perform hard tasks. - In depth knowledge of inventory control systems and processes and root cause analysis. - Knowledge of safety requirements and material handling equipment operation - Knowledge of clean room practices. - Problem solver - Promote teamwork - Lead by example
