**Description**:
This position supports the growth of our business in Mexico and collaborate closely with functions across the company on corporate and contract matters in Mexico. The focus will be on negotiating and closing mainly supply agreements with our vendors in Mexico as well as generally supporting and managing our corporate matters. Additional other legal issues to grow our operations in Mexico, such as local regulatory, and compliance.
**Responsibilities**:
- The role will provide support for various legal matters arising, which will include, legal compliance (encompassing anticorruption, trade, privacy and other applicable laws), procurement, corporate functions and other general legal matters.
- Responsiveness to deliver legal services to support business operations and growth and ability to create collaborative relationships with internal clients and external vendors.
- Commercial (40%): Draft and/or review raw materials supply agreements, render of specialized services agreement, including supply agreements and store leases.
- Corporate (30%): The position must be in control of any corporate law regulation and administrative matters to be in compliance with Mexican regulations and corporate governance, including the administration and update of Corporate Books.
- Administration of documentation ISB and CSB business: Deeds, contracts, agreements, reports, resolutions, corporate books, granting and revocation of powers of attorney.
- HR Legal (25%): Work with local HR team to support employment law matters, including REPSE compliance, collaborating with HR to prevent and manage labor related litigation.
- Trainings and Administration (5%) provide legal assistance in training new hires about internal policies and controls.
- Management of payments to suppliers.
- Be a strategic partner and trusted advisor to a demanding business, counseling the business on deal matters as well as general business, engage in a high level of interaction with business internal clients and vendors.
- Support a culture of ethics and integrity though leaders with the correct training.
- Provide advisory support to procurement and business teams by driving the creation of templates, standardize the templates, maintain and continuously improve the standard contracts templates and procedures in accordance with changing laws and company policies.
- Provide legal, compliance and regulatory training to new hires in order to create a consistent behavior and do the follow up of it.
**Job Requirements**:
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law
Work Experience:
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience at law firm or as in-house counsel and/or in legal outsourcing
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Substantial level understanding of both commercial and legal contractual risks and displays ability to provide business-oriented legal advice
- Fluent in English with strong oral and written skills
- Experience in managing end-to-end projects and teams on function specific processes and/or areas, work with internal and external teams, and understands delivery requirements
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, is detail-oriented, has sound judgement, is adaptable, demonstrate promptness, accuracy, and consistency with the activities supported, and drive tasks to closure, has strong time management, prioritization, organizational skills
- Build trust-based relationships by delivering on commitments, ability to work under pressure, with exposure to senior management
- Effectively manage priorities and stakeholder expectations
- Able to effectively influence senior management.
