Functional Validation Manager

As a manager, set priorities for the team, get results across boundaries, ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees, and manage performance. Plans, provides resources for and directs activities in engineering function to meet schedules, standards, and cost. Cultivates and reinforces appropriate group values, norms and behaviors. Identifies and analyzes problems, plans, tasks, and solutions. Provides guidance on employee development, performance, and productivity issues. Plans and schedules daily tasks, uses judgement on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices. Inadequacies and erroneous decisions would cause moderate inconvenience and expense. **Behavioral Traits**: - Growth mindset. - Effective problem-solving skills and results-oriented mentality. - Willing to work with cross-functional and cross-geo teams to achieve common goals. - Facilitator of direct and open communication, diversity of opinion, and debate. - Work with program managers to properly plan, fund and staff hardware validation projects. **Qualifications** **Education** BS, MSc, or Ph.D. degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer Engineering or related field ("Cedula professional" may be required) + 7 or more years of relevant industry experience. **Minimum Qualifications**: - Advanced English and Spanish communication (written and verbal). - 3+ years of experience leading and/or managing teams with a proven track record of delivering business results for complex projects. - 3+ years of experience setting objectives and goals, schedules, and staging plans. **Preferred Qualifications**: - Experience in computer architecture (Intel architecture knowledge is a plus). - Experience tracking execution progress and enabling the team. - Experience mentoring other engineers and technically guiding them. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry-relevant job experience, internship experiences and or school work/classes/research. **Inside this Business Group** The everyday contributions of the Intel Validation Engineering (iVE) team are essential to retaining/regaining Intel's product leadership. We validate, debug, and tune the newest designs and world-changing technologies that enrich the lives of every person on earth. We play a critical role in completing the PRQs of Intel products and in Intel's ability to deliver the annual technology platforms in our roadmap. **Work Model for this Role** This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
