Paralegal (Personal Injury Law)

This is a remote position, where you would be living and working outside the United States from your own home. We offer training for all our job duties. You will not be an employee of High Rise Financial as you will be living and working in your native country, outside of the United States. Hours per week: 40 Days per week: Monday - Friday (USA calendar) Hours: 9:30 am to 6:30 pm Pacific Standard Time, USA (Hours could vary slightly depending on the location of our clients - based on USA time zones)
WHAT YOU’LL DO: As a surgical coordinator, the primary responsibility is working on surgery approvals with our underwriting team, and if approved you would become the liaison between law firms and medical providers to ensure the patients are scheduled in a timely manner.
The job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Receiving requests to fund medical treatment/surgical procedures
- Corresponding with law firms to gather case information - Work with our in-house underwriters for approval to fund the recommended treatment/surgical procedures - Relay approvals to law firms and medical providers, completing necessary paperwork for patients to proceed with their treatment/surgical procedures
- Collecting procedure costs and negotiating rates with medical providers (including surgeons, surgery centers, and hospitals)
- Working with our principles for approvals on rates, signing contracts, etc. Training will be provided by the company.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- At least 2+ years of working at a law firm dealing with personal injury cases such as car accidents, slips and falls, etc.
- Having medical lien or personal injury experience is strongly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is required, must be fluent and clear
- Have a quiet place at home to work in - Consistent and reliable internet access
- A smartphone - Your own PC computer (with a camera)
- Having a bank account is required as compensation is paid through bank wires
