**Preferred Qualifications**

The role provides a mixture of production platform ownership as well as dedicated development time. You will solve challenging technical problems, identify improvements and work on implementing your recommendations. You will also work directly with high level developers on projects and work to blur the lines between traditional system operations and development support.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide 24x7 production support for Oracle 12c/19c databases.
- Provide support to complete stack including database, middleware (WebLogic, SOA, OBIEE, ODI) and cloud infrastructure.
- Proactive monitoring and performance tuning of databases.
- Good understanding of Linux Server operating system, including shell scripting and troubleshooting.
- Change and Release Management, Business continuity and Capacity Planning.
- Database backup, recovery, cloning and refreshes using RMAN, Data Pump.
- Database upgrades.
- Provide status reports to project manager and/or Team Lead.
- Create documentation for new and/or existing technical methodologies.
- Oracle Enterprise Manager expertise in installing, configuring and maintenance.
- Experience on Oracle Database High Availability, Real Application Clusters (RAC).
- Good Experience in Oracle GoldenGate & troubleshooting skills.
- Implementation and Maintenance of Oracle Database Disaster Recovery, Data Guard.
- Oracle Exadata - full stack patching.
- Good understanding of Server, Storage, Networking infrastructure.
- Ability to quickly grasp complex technical issues.
- Willingness to work in shifts and on weekends.
- Able to work with mínimal supervision, self-motivated, self-directed and take initiative to collaborate and synthesize with members locally or globally across different geographical time zone.
- Able to accurately estimate efforts and deliver on time.

**Qualifications**
- BS degree in Computer Science / Management Information Systems / Engineering / Math / Physics / Chemistry or proven professional and technical experience.
- 5-10 years of industry experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**

As a Senior Database Administrator, you are instrumental in researching, evaluating, designing, testing, recommending, and planning implementation of new versions of Oracle database and database tools. May act as a team lead during database implementations and for system operation and maintenance.
