Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Manufacturing Engineer located in Tijuana. Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineer Manager. The “Manufacturing Engineer” will be based in Tijuana, reporting to Manufacturing Engineer Manager.

What a typical day looks like:

- Understand manufacturing and test equipment concepts, technologies and techniques
- Designs manufacturing processes within schedule and budgetary parameters.
- Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.
- Define equipment maintenance requirements, identify root-causes of equipment failures and develop hands-on maintenance skills Work with other engineering stakeholders and customers on problem solving and continuous improvement to the design of equipment and products and may develop corrective and preventive action plans
- May be involved in development and and update of PFMEA for new products
- May participate in control plan development
- Write and update work instructions and other documents (e.g. specifications, procedures, )
- Analyzes and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Confers with production group concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
- Coordinates with customers to determine product specifications and design changes and responds to customer request.
- Provides information for management decisions from a technical and technical cost perspective.
- Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
- Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

- Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience and training.
- Able to run and explain simulations.
- Impacts immediate (daily or weekly) operations of the team or functional area. Executes and may provide input to functional processes or technologies. Assists in achieving section/sub-function objectives for a functional area. Demonstrates commitment to implement initiatives.
- Exercises independent judgment within defined procedures and practices to achieve objectives; may make decisions absent management supervision using broad guidelines.
- Normally receives general instructions on routine work but can work independently, and in some cases may supervise/ oversee others. Identifies own development needs and works toward them. Demonstrates Flex values.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
