**R&D E-mobility - Systems Engineer**

Developing the architecture of an electric, mechanical or mechatronic system and guiding the design implementation in the e-mobility group

**Educational Prerequisites**:

- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanic Engineering. Alternatively, a degree in physics or related natural science.
- Advanced English - TOEFL min. score of ITP 585 / iBT 84, CEFR level B2-C1 (or equivalent).

**Technical Prerequisites**:

- Basic understanding of electric machines and controls
- Basic understanding of hydraulics and heat transfer
- Understanding of modelling and simulation of electric or mechatronic systems
- Knowledge of functional safety or mechatronic systems
- Experience in managing product requirements
- Preferred experience in programing Matlab/Simulink, Python, C/C++ and CAN communication
- Automotive knowledge or industrial background Knowledge in the automotive industry
- Understanding of the automotive powertrain
- Basic understanding of electric and hybrid drive concepts

**Responsibilities**:

- Functional calculations of mechanical interfaces, e-motor, power electronics, hydraulics, cooling, electrical wiring or actuation.
- During design implementation phase, the system engineer supports adherence to requirements and consistency of interfaces
- Use of simulation tools, 3D models and spreadsheet calculations to ensure that the developed system specification meets the product requirements in terms of space, complexity, customer demands and expected cost.
- Provide a functional analysis of the developed system and use it to create the system level DFMEA
