Custom Index Product Specialist

**Your Team Responsibilities**:
The MSCI Global Index Product Management and Distribution team is composed of experienced financial professionals who are responsible for not only launching new MSCI index products but also providing support to existing product offering.

The Global Custom Index Product Management Team will be held accountable on the revenue growth and product/project development of the custom index business lines.

**Your Key Responsibilities**:

- Drive the planning and implementation (go-to-market) of new products and process enhancements
- Support and assist project initiatives to improve product offering
- Work effectively with colleagues in IT, Index Product, Project Management, Market Data, Research, Sales/Coverage, and the Client Service Organization to define product roadmap and requirements, resolve product issues, and deliver new products and/or enhancements
- Understand MSCI’s strategic and competitive position to design and deliver products that are aligned with our strategy and client needs
- Participating in client consultations to understand client needs and/or product enhancements opportunities
- Supporting and providing written training material and delivering internal training presentations

- Proficiency in Python and R for data analysis, machine learning, and automation tasks.
- Experience with Power BI to create interactive dashboards and reports.
- Ability to query databases and manipulate data efficiently.
- Collaborative and team oriented with the ability to establish and maintain clear lines of transparent communication with colleagues at various functions, levels, and locations across the firm.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate ideas clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Efficiently managing time to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
- Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and pivot strategies as needed
- Exceptional English language skills

**Desired Experience**:

- Have 2-5 years of relevant experience in product management and product development
- Hands-on experience with product development projects, either through internships, academic projects, or previous job roles.
- Strong servicing and client focused mindset
- Understand the equity investment management process (Knowledge of equity markets is preferred)
- Experience of going through a full product lifecycle, integrating client feedback into product requirements, driving prioritization and pre/post-launch execution.

**Desired Qualifications**:

- Hold undergraduate degree in finance, economics, engineering, actuarial science, or equivalent experience required.
- MBA, CFA/FRM designations (or participation in the programs) viewed favorably
