**My Role**:

- Interacts with HR, Labor Relations, Payroll, Finance and Operations to provide advice and counseling on all employment, **Social Security and litigation **matters;
- Develops and maintains appropriate policies, procedures and guidelines related to employment law matters and and monitors developments in employment and Social Security laws to ensure Company compliance;
- Gatekeeper on employment and labor compliance matters, as well as litigation;
- Oversees employment and other general litigation;
- Reports and identifies risks and contingencies and provides appropriate recommendations to the business;
- Analyzes and assists in reaching resolution on employment aspects of internal investigations;
- Reviews and resolves complex issues related to employment and Social Security laws that impact Aptiv on a national scale;
- Supports HR and the business on various employment initiatives;
- Coordination of external counsel, including careful monitoring of budgets.

**My Background**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Law
- **3+ years **of general experience in **Labor and Employment law **and related litigation
- **Bilingual Spanish and English **;
- Excellent oral and written communications; effective interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and manage others;
- Sound knowledge of law firms **nationwide and corporate environment;**:

- Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a matrix environment across several business units and functions and to accomplish results and desired outcomes throughout the Company’s internal structures;
- **Knowledge of Mexico employment and Social Security laws and regulations and the ability to appropriately identify employment and litigation risks;**:

- **USMCA knowledge**:

- Proficient in MS office software products.

**Preferred qualifications**
- Previous experience practicing employment law and litigation in a corporate setting preferred;
- Master’s Degree
- Travel: Up to 30% of time.
