**Responsibilities**
- Collaborate to design and develop a reliable back-end architecture using Python and Flask/FastAPI
- Develop and enhance APIs and integrations to enable seamless interaction between services
- Ensure optimal database performance and scalability, including query tuning with PostgreSQL and OpenSearch
- Participate in code reviews, debugging activities, and technical discussions
- Interact closely with front-end engineers using React/TypeScript to ensure product alignment
- Operate both independently and collaboratively within an agile team environment to achieve startup milestones
- Drive continuous enhancements and modernization of the technology stack
- Document development workflows, tools, and best practices
**Requirements**:
- Proficiency in working with SQL, particularly PostgreSQL and OpenSearch
- Familiarity with GenAI engineering productivity tools such as Cursor, Copilot, or similar solutions
- Qualifications in FastAPI, cloud technologies, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools
- Competency in operating within startup environments with a focus on impact and transparency
- Strong communication skills plus flexibility to work autonomously and collaboratively
- English language mastery at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher
**Nice to have**
- Proficiency in TypeScript and ReactJS to explore full-stack development possibilities
- Understanding of PySpark, Spark SQL, and foundational data engineering methodologies
- Background in API integration standards, Kubernetes architecture, and tools like Pants or SQLAlchemy
- Skills in utilizing productivity tools for streamlining software development efforts
- Showcase of experience collaborating with external stakeholders in client-facing roles
