Description

To serve as the Engineering Location Leader for the Business Areas (BA) Architecture and Networking (AN) in Queretaro MX.

Core Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing development of all AN Programs in the Location Queretaro.
2. Implement the Engineering North America Engineering strategy in Queretaro

3. Serve as the location’s chief technologist for all local industry and customer requests.

4. Act as an inspirational leader in the location

5. Develop of world class talent to ensure operational excellence across a diverse set of products

6. Regularly report progress to stakeholders, local management, and BA management

7. Lead and Develop a Locally Strong Engineering Organization

8. Motivate and lead an international, high performance team of engineers and technicians.

9. Attract, develop, and Retain talented and skilled individuals who bring key capabilities to the team.

10. Ensure development plans are in place for high performers and monitor these plans accordingly.

11. Coordinate training activities to ensure that necessary skill levels for existing team members and new hires are satisfied

12. Live the Continental values of For One Another, Passion to Win, Trust, and Freedom to Act. Ensure these values are disseminated throughout the organization.

13. Establish and ensure that quality systems, including metrics and checks, are in place and utilized by the location team in a consistent manner
14. Support Engineering resources in the location by serving as a point of escalation in the event of unforeseen technical or program issues at the customer
15. Define, plan, and track location and cost center budgets in line with targets, understanding the margins of the Business Areas AN.
16. Recommend Engineering investment priorities that are aligned with project needs, future capability requirements, and business plans

**Qualifications**:
Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Min of 10 years of experience working in the Automotive embedded development and or System test development
- Experience Managing Engineering projects
- Able to work in a multicultural environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master’s Degree in Computer Science
- Project management Certification by the PMI
- Agile Project Management
