Smt Maintenance Engineer

The SMT Maintenance Engineer will be primarily focused on generation and control of programs for printers, collators, and reflow ovens as well as design and implement the tooling required for the SMT area. Properly documenting and coordinating the training required for operators and intermediate levels. Supporting and leading continuous improvement on quality, productivity, and cost on SMT area

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

- Generate and control printing programs, collators and reflow ovens.
- Design and implementation of stencils and support plates for the printing
- Validation and control of the reflow profiles used for production
- Profiling of SMT reflow ovens
- Lay out updating
- Cycle time studies, line balancing, capabilities and optimizing studies from area
- People management
- New products introduction, and pilot runs
- To participate actively in area continuous improvement, to comply with quality, efficiency, scrap, 6S´s performance metrics.
- Comply with all processes concerning to Integral management system, and to know about environmental area elements that contributes to stablish operational controls to minimize environmental impact
- Active participation on internal audits from Integral management system
- Responsible of actions for down time reduction, lines relocation, and equipment qualification

**Formal Education & Certification**

BS in Mechatronic, Electronic, Control Engineering, or related, and intermediate English level.

**Knowledge & Experience**
- + 5 years of experience as SMT Process Engineer
- + Supervision experience
- Minitab knowledge
- English intermediate
- Flexa / Nexim/ P-tool Yamaha
- Advanced Excel
- CAD/ CAE
- Data analysis (Cpk, SPC, Minitab)
