We're Hiring: Mechanical Engineer (Industrial Design) Location: Remote Schedule: Full-Time | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CT (flexibility available) Position Type: Permanent Focus: Industrial / Manufacturing FacilitiesAbout the Role We're seeking a Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer with 5–10 years of hands-on design experience in industrial mechanical systems. This role is design-focused, ideal for an engineer who enjoys detailed mechanical design work and collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team. The ideal candidate has strong experience with HVAC and mechanical systems design, is highly proficient in AutoCAD (Revit MEP preferred), and is comfortable working with U. S. codes and standards such as ASHRAE and NFPA.
Experience
in pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, oil & gas, or manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
What You'll Do
Mechanical Design & Engineering · Develop mechanical design drawings and specifications for industrial facilities · Design HVAC systems, process piping, plumbing, and clean utilities · Size and specify mechanical equipment including AHUs, chillers, pumps, ductwork, and piping · Perform load calculations, airflow analysis, and mechanical system analysis Coordination & Standards · Coordinate mechanical layouts with architectural, electrical, plumbing, and process disciplines · Produce detailed AutoCAD (required) or Revit MEP (preferred) deliverables · Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, NFPA, and applicable mechanical design codes · Review and apply client standards, master specifications, and project-specific requirementsProject Support · Respond to RFIs and review submittals during construction administration · Assist with engineering cost estimates and material take-offs · Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and occasional site visits Team Collaboration · Mentor junior engineers and CAD technicians · Provide guidance on drafting standards and project best practices · Collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary design teamWhat We're Looking For Experience & Technical Skills · 5–10 years of professional mechanical design experience · Strong background in industrial or manufacturing mechanical systems · Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (required); Revit MEP preferred · Proven experience with: o Load calculations o Duct and piping sizing o Mechanical system analysis · Solid understanding of ASHRAE standards, NFPA codes, and mechanical design guidelinesEducation · Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) preferred · Strong hands-on experience may substitute for a degreeAdditional Requirements · Advanced English proficiency (verbal and written) · U. S. project experience preferred o Candidates without U. S.
