Job Description – SAP TMS Maintenance and Monitoring Engineer JuniorDepartment:SAP TMS / SAP Basis Run TeamLocation:RemoteEmployment Type:Full‐time / PermanentShiftPosition SummaryThe SAP TMS Maintenance and Monitoring Engineer will be part of the team formerly known as theSAP Basis Run Team, responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of SAP landscapes. This role focuses onmonitoring, maintaining, and supporting SAP Transport Management System (TMS)and all underlying technical components.Candidates withSAP Basis experienceare preferred. However, individuals without formal SAP Basis background may also be considered if they demonstrate solid proficiency inLinux, Windows, and database technologies (HANA, Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, and/or DB2).Key ResponsibilitiesPerform dailyTMS maintenance and monitoringactivities to ensure stable and consistent SAP system operations.Monitor SAP system performance, transport queues, system logs, alerts, and workload distribution.Execute and troubleshoottransport requests, system changes, and environment updates.Collaborate with SAP Basis administrators in managing system copies, refreshes, kernel updates, and patching activities.Maintain system health throughproactive monitoringand timely resolution of incidents or performance issues.Escalate critical issues to senior engineers and support teams as required.Work closely with application teams, security teams, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth SAP landscape operations.Document technical procedures, incident resolutions, and operational standards.Support continuous improvement initiatives for automation, monitoring enhancements, and process optimization.Participate in on‐call rotations (if applicable).RequirementsTechnical SkillsPreferable:Hands-on experience withSAP Basis(administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting).Knowledge of SAP TMS architecture, transport routes, client strategies, and import/export mechanisms.Alternatively (if no SAP Basis experience):Strong proficiency in at least oneoperating system:Linux (preferred)Windows ServerKnowledge ofdatabase systems:SAP HANAOracleSybaseSQL ServerDB2Solid understanding of systems administration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.General RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, IT, or related field.Ability to work in a structured, process-oriented, and SLA-driven environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with global teams.English: Intermediate–Advanced (required for documentation and communication).Preferred QualificationsExperience working in large SAP landscapes (ECC, S/4 HANA).Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager, SAP Cloud ALM, or monitoring tools.Basic scripting knowledge (Bash, Power Shell, Python).Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management).Shift Rotation Requirement (Mandatory)Participation in astructured shift‐rotation scheduleto provide 24/7 operational support.Shifts may include:MorningAfternoonNightWeekend rotation (as required)Flexibility to adjust to global time zones based on teamWhat We OfferOpportunity to work with global SAP environments and advanced enterprise systems.Professional growth into SAP Basis, SAP HANA administration, or senior TMS operations.Training and exposure to cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, OCI).Collaborative and supportive team environment.
