Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and assertive Collections Specialist to manage recovery efforts for past-due accounts and protect the integrity of our funding portfolio. The ideal candidate will have experience in MCA collections , possess strong communication and negotiation skills, and be comfortable working in a high-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Monitor and manage a portfolio of delinquent merchant accountsMake outbound calls and send emails to merchants regarding payment issues or missed remittancesNegotiate repayment terms, settlements, and workout plans in line with company policyCoordinate with legal and compliance teams for escalated matters, including UCC filings or default actionsDocument all interactions in the CRM and maintain accurate records of payment statusCollaborate with underwriting and funding teams on high-risk accountsPerform skip tracing and business searches to locate merchants or validate operational statusRecommend accounts for charge-off, litigation, or sale based on collection effortsProvide weekly reporting on collection metrics, recovery rates, and account statusesQualifications:~1–3 years of experience in collections, ideally in financial services.~ Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills~ Excellent verbal and written communication~ Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)~ Familiarity with UCC filings, payment processing, and MCA recovery procedures is a plus~ Ability to work independently and manage time effective
