Position: Controller Location: Cd. Juárez, Chihuahua, MexicoCompany OverviewJoin a world-class manufacturing operation in Cd. Juárez, Chihuahua. We are seeking a hands-on, analytical, and business-oriented Controller to partner closely with plant leadership and regional finance teams. This role will play a critical part in driving financial discipline, standard costing accuracy, productivity improvements, and operational decision-making within a high-performance manufacturing environment.Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.RequirementsMinimum 5+ years of experience as a Controller or Senior Finance Leader in a manufacturing environment.Strong experience with standard costing, cost variance analysis, and manufacturing cost structures.Solid understanding of the Maquiladora / IMMEX system.Proven manufacturing finance experience is required.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial statements, operational data, and legal documents.Knowledge of local and federal tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements.Working knowledge of ERP systems and financial reporting tools.Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.Demonstrated CompetenciesStrong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence plant leadership.Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven manufacturing environment.High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.Proven ability to develop and lead finance and accounting teams.Well-organized with the ability to synthesize financial, operational, and strategic information.Independent, proactive, and results-driven team player.Strong process documentation and internal control mindset.Track record of achieving both organizational and personal performance objectives.Core ResponsibilitiesAct as a strategic finance partner to the Plant Manager and plant leadership team, providing financial insight to support operational and business decisions.Lead standard cost development, maintenance, and accuracy, including BOMs, routings, labor standards, and overhead rates.Analyze manufacturing variances, including material, labor, overhead, usage, scrap, and absorption, and drive corrective actions with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain.Drive improvements in material usage, scrap reduction, and inventory optimization in collaboration with Supply Chain and Operations.Manage and analyze direct and indirect labor costs, supporting productivity and efficiency initiatives.Oversee overhead cost control, analysis, and reporting.Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and ethical standards.Develop, implement, and monitor financial, administrative, and internal control processes for the maquiladora operation.Serve as the local finance subject-matter expert for accounting, tax, and regulatory compliance.Lead month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.Prepare and analyze monthly results, quarterly forecasts, and the annual operating plan.Support Sales and Operations Planning with accurate financial and cost data.Own the capital expenditure process, including justification, tracking, forecasting, and approvals.Lead and support cost-out, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives.Communicate financial results, risks, and opportunities clearly, with actionable recommendations.Additional ResponsibilitiesSupervise Accounting and Customs functions, ensuring compliance with U.S. and Mexican regulations.Coordinate with internal and external auditors.Provide financial information and analysis to corporate and regional stakeholders.Ensure financial processes deliver accurate, timely, and reliable outputs.Support and maintain the integrity of the Quality Management System under ISO 9001.Identify financial, operational, and compliance risks, proposing mitigation strategies.Promote best practices across finance and operations to strengthen controls, transparency, and performance.Equal Opportunity StatementOur client is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace, treating everyone with respect and dignity.
