Position SummaryResponsible for coordinating and monitoring operations related to International Trade Agreements with which the company's corporate office maintains relationships, as well as promoting products in the international market by leveraging the benefits that participating countries may offer as consumers or suppliers. Ensures the proper application and compliance with international trade agreements. Analyzes rules of origin, involved parties, and agreements that enable broader and more secure international business.Essential Job Functions- Coordinate and assist in the preparation process of Certificates of Origin, minimizing taxes paid on Import/Export operations for shipments to the U. S., Canada, Honduras, Mexico, and globally.Maintain contact with Halyard suppliers and customers.Obtain and prepare Certificates of Origin.Maintain electronic control and filing of Certificates of Origin.Work with customs brokers to ensure all treaty preferences are properly applied.Address internal and external customer needs related to Certificates of Origin.Develop new cost-saving projects.Determine the country of origin of products manufactured by Halyard.Analyze finished product structures to determine origin and treaty qualification (sets, minor processing, transformation, and packaging only).Prepare Certificates of Origin for customs agencies and involved customers accurately, reliably, and in a timely manner to allow goods to be cleared and distributed to their destination.Analyze International Trade Agreements that may benefit the company.Provide support to ensure compliance with international trade agreement requirements for Halyard.Support the trade compliance area with Import/Export invoices to determine and identify tax applicability.Control payment of import and export taxes on invoices.Use the SAP system (company ERP system) to verify relevant information for products to be exported and/or imported, such as reviewing BOMs and POs, among other system functions that support verification.Provide support to other required areas and perform additional duties related to the position.Job Functions / Interactions- Work with external suppliers, primarily from the United States, to request origin documentation.Collaborate with all Halyard O&M plants (Inc., Nogales, Acuña, and Honduras).Coordinate with customs brokers to ensure proper tax application and provide origin documentation.Collaborate with internal departments including Procurement, Planning, Engineering, and Legal.Integrity- Earns the trust of customers and colleagues by consistently honoring commitments.Promotes trust and serves as a role model for ethical behavior.Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.Development- Builds, cultivates, and maintains customer relationships.Demonstrates self-awareness and proactively works to improve personal performance.Contributes to an inclusive environment that values diversity of cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives.Excellence- Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency to deliver a superior customer experience.Anticipates customer needs and prioritizes work to meet and exceed expectations.Shows resilience and perseverance when solving problems, securing business, or delivering high-level customer service.Accountability- Keeps customers at the center of all work.Fulfills commitments to internal and external customers.Takes responsibility for decisions, communications, and actions.Listening- Seeks feedback from customers and colleagues and acts upon it.Actively listens to customer needs and provides solutions and ideas to meet those needs.QualificationsEducation & Experience- Education: Bachelor's degree (Professional level)Languages: Advanced EnglishExperience: Minimum of 1 yearEssential Knowledge
