About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst with strong experience in cost accounting, manufacturing finance, and financial analysis . This role will partner closely with operations and finance teams to support cost management, financial reporting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with standard costing, manufacturing variances, inventory accounting, financial modeling, and month-end close , preferably within a public company environment.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Accounting & Operations Finance

  • Maintain and update standard costing models across product lines and analyze manufacturing variances, including material, labor, and overhead.
  • Partner with operations teams to monitor and improve COGS, yield, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Manage inventory accounting and reconciliations across raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods.
  • Develop and maintain overhead allocation methodologies across facilities.

Financial Close & Reporting

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analysis.
  • Assist with financial schedules supporting 10-K and 10-Q filings .
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and support external auditors during review and audit cycles.

FP&A & Business Support

  • Contribute to annual budgeting and rolling forecasting processes.
  • Build and maintain financial models supporting pricing decisions, capital expenditures, and operational trade-offs.
  • Prepare management reporting packages, financial analyses, and KPI dashboards for leadership.

M&A & Special Projects

  • Support financial due diligence for potential acquisitions as needed.
  • Assist with integration financial modeling and purchase accounting activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field .
  • 4–7 years of progressive experience in cost accounting and/or financial analysis.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment .
  • Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, inventory accounting, and manufacturing finance .
  • Experience supporting financial close, reconciliations, and financial reporting .
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with financial modeling and large data sets.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems .
  • Public company experience or familiarity with SEC reporting and 10-K/10-Q reporting cycles is strongly preferred.
  • CPA or CMA certification is preferred but not required; CMA is particularly relevant for this position.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines during financial close cycles.
