About the Company A technology company focused on LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) solutions, helping lab and quality managers accurately gather, analyze, and report data — working efficiently, meeting compliance goals, and exceeding business objectives.
As AI reshapes how buyers discover and evaluate software, the company is investing in the people who will define its visibility in this new landscape — where a growing share of vendor discovery and research now happens inside LLMs like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity.
The Opportunity This role lives at the intersection of content marketing and artificial intelligence: someone who understands how LLMs retrieve, rank, and cite information, and who can build the content infrastructure that earns the company a consistent presence in AI-generated answers.
This is not a traditional SEO or content manager role. You will be building expertise in Generative Answer Optimization (GAO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) — emerging disciplines that require both the craft of great content and a technical understanding of how AI systems consume, index, and surface information.
Key Responsibilities Generative Answer Optimization (GAO) & Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)
Develop and execute a GAO/AEO strategy to increase citation frequency in LLM-generated answers across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and other AI-powered search surfaces
Audit current LLM citation rates for the company and category keywords; establish benchmarks and set measurable citation targets
Research and apply emerging best practices for structuring content so it is retrieved and cited by generative AI systems
Monitor AI search landscape changes and adapt strategy accordingly
Build a systematic testing and measurement cadence for LLM visibility: prompt libraries, citation tracking, and competitive benchmarking
Content Strategy & Development
Develop authoritative, deeply researched content — long-form guides, comparison pages, FAQ hubs, glossaries, and thought leadership — designed to be retrieved by AI systems and trusted by human readers
Build content around high-intent queries, buying journey stages, and the specific questions professionals ask AI assistants
Own the full content lifecycle: ideation, brief, production, publication, optimization, and performance review
Develop and manage a content calendar aligned to global GTM priorities
Structured Data, Entity & Technical Optimization
Implement and maintain schema markup (FAQ Page, HowTo, Article, Organization, Software Application)
Build and strengthen the brand's entity presence across the web (Wikipedia, Wikidata, industry directories, analyst coverage)
Own on-site technical content health: page structure, internal linking architecture, content freshness, and crawlability
Partner with web/dev teams to implement structured data and optimize the site for AI retrieval signals
AI-Native Content & Syndication
Develop content specifically formatted for AI consumption: concise definitional content, Q&A structures, entity-rich summaries, and citation-ready fact blocks
Build an external citation footprint through strategic placement in publications, forums, and reference sources that LLMs draw from
Identify and develop relationships with industry analysts, associations, and media whose coverage influences LLM training corpora and live retrieval
Measurement & Optimization
Define and track AI visibility KPIs: LLM citation rate, share of voice in AI-generated answers, AI-referred traffic, and content-influenced pipeline
Build dashboards that translate content performance into business impact — not just traffic and rankings, but revenue contribution
Run structured content experiments: headline variants, format tests, schema changes
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Product Marketing to ensure product messaging, differentiators, and customer proof points are embedded throughout content and structured for AI retrieval
Collaborate with Demand Generation to align content programs with campaign strategy
Work with Sales and BDRs to surface content that accelerates buyer conversations and shortens sales cycles
Serve as the internal expert and evangelist for AI visibility, educating the team on how GAO/AEO works and why it matters
Qualifications
4–7 years of experience in content marketing, SEO, or digital marketing with demonstrated curiosity or hands-on work in AI-driven content
Deep understanding of how large language models retrieve, rank, and generate answers, and how content structure, authority, and entity signals influence that process
Proven ability to develop high-quality long-form content that ranks, gets cited, and drives pipeline — not just traffic
Experience with technical SEO fundamentals: sc
