The client provides information technology (IT) services, including business outsourcing, infrastructure technology, and application services. The application service offered by the company includes application development, maintenance, and support. The markets served by the company are financial services and insurance, healthcare, manufacturing, government, transportation, communications, and consumer and retail industries.

Salary Range: CAD $45K-$50K/Month

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist (Intermediate) to design, develop, and scale advanced analytics capabilities for the MyCustomer360 program.
This role will drive data-driven insights, enable operational decision-making, and accelerate the development of next-generation analytics products leveraging AI and modern data architectures.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams (analytics, engineering, product, and business stakeholders) to transform complex, high-volume operational data into actionable intelligence and scalable data solutions.

Years of experience needed

3-5 years of experience in a Data Scientist function.

Key Responsibilities:

Advanced Analytics Development
- Build predictive and prescriptive models to improve customer operational performance
- Translate business problems into analytical solutions with measurable impact
- Develop reusable analytics assets and frameworks across MyCustomer360 workstreams
Data Engineering & Modeling
- Design and optimize data models across OLTP and OLAP environments
- Integrate and transform large-scale, multi-source datasets (structured and semi-structured)
- Ensure data quality, performance, and scalability of analytics pipelines
AI & Automation
- Develop and deploy AI-powered solutions , including Copilot / AI agents , to automate insights generation and workflows
- Apply machine learning and generative AI to enhance user experience and decision support
Visualization & Business Intelligence
- Design and deliver advanced Power BI dashboards to support executive and operational reporting
- Enable self-service analytics through intuitive, high-impact data products
Software Development & Delivery
- Develop robust, production-grade code using Python and SQL
- Follow best practices in version control, testing, and CI/CD for analytics solutions
- Collaborate in Agile environments to deliver scalable solutions
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to define requirements and success metrics
- Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Required Qualifications:

Strong expertise in:
- SQL (advanced querying, optimization across large datasets)
- Python (data science, automation, software development practices)
- Data modeling (OLTP and OLAP architectures)
- Power BI (advanced dashboarding, data modeling, DAX)
Experience with:
- Building and deploying AI solutions / Copilot agents
- End-to-end analytics lifecycle (data ingestion → modeling → visualization)
- Working with large-scale, complex, normalized datasets
Strong understanding of:
- Data warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines, and performance optimization
- Statistical analysis and machine learning techniques
Fluent English (written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in customer analytics, supply chain, or operational performance data
Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure Data Services)
Experience building data products and enabling self-service analytics at scale
Background in Agile/Scrum environments

Certifications Needed:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
